Lyngen — Arctic ski touring
Steep mountains, glaciers and fjords reaching all the way out to the sea.

Lyngen is an area where the tour rarely has to be decided far in advance. Within a relatively short distance there are different aspects, altitudes and types of terrain, which lets us choose the day's mountain for the conditions rather than follow a fixed weekly programme.
The journey
Every morning begins with the same question: where is the best skiing today? We look at wind, temperature, precipitation, avalanche conditions and what has happened to the snowpack over the past day. Then we choose the tour.
Some days mean longer tours in bigger terrain. Others we choose a lower or more sheltered mountain where the snow is better. That is the point of being based somewhere with many options.
