Matterhorn Week
Preparation, acclimatisation and a summit attempt. The Matterhorn is an objective, not a guarantee.

A week built as preparation followed by a summit attempt. The earlier days work on acclimatisation, movement efficiency, scrambling and climbing, exposure, endurance and technical preparation.
The summit attempt takes place only when the guide judges that conditions, weather and the participant's capability are appropriate. There is no summit guarantee, and the Matterhorn is not a mountain for inexperienced mountaineers.
Weather, visibility, snow, avalanche conditions and the state of the group decide the day. Professional judgement always outweighs a published itinerary.
