Alpine Week — Chamonix
Guided alpine climbing, and learning to operate more independently in alpine terrain.

Five mountain days that are not only summit guiding. You climb with a guide, and you work on the skills that let you understand and manage alpine terrain yourself.
Areas of learning can include route planning, weather and conditions, movement in alpine terrain, glacier travel, rope systems, crampon and ice axe technique, transitions, belays, rappelling, basic crevasse rescue, decision-making, efficiency and risk management.
The week's programme follows conditions, experience, weather and how the group progresses. It is not a fixed curriculum.
Weather, visibility, snow, avalanche conditions and the state of the group decide the day. Professional judgement always outweighs a published itinerary.
